Forest Schools

At our school all children have the opportunity to benefit from Forest School activities.  On our school site and in the local environments we offer regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self esteem through hands-on learning.  Forest School provides challenging and enjoyable experiences across all areas of learning and development.

By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment, each child has an opportunity to develop motivation, emotional and social skills. These, through self awareness can be developed to reach personal potential.

Our Class 1 children visit the same local woodland on a regular basis and are given opportunities to learn about the natural environment, how to handle risks and most importantly to use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others.

Children in other classes are given opportunities to engage in Forest School throughout the year.
