Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the Christmas break with your children and families. We are settling back
into school routines here at Appleton Wiske and embracing the wintry weather! The children have returned with great attitudes and I’m always impressed with how they conduct themselves around school, showing respect and displaying good manners. As always, thank you for your support and please get in touch if we can help with anything.
ATTENDANCE
Our whole school attendance is currently 96.12% which is below our target of 97%. Please remember that I am unable to authorise holidays. Penalty notices are being issued for unauthorised absences which reach the local authority limit. Thank you for helping us to maintain high rates of attendance. Well done to Class 1 for winning the fortnightly attendance award.
